It’s amazing
How you can come from something so perfect,
So happy,
So loving,
So whole,
And how it can just be shattered.
A whisper of wind;
One single breath
And it’s in pieces;
Gone up in flames,
Leaving nothing but ashes;
Ashes and poisonous fumes.
It’s intoxicating
And yet you’re drawn to it
Because it’s a part of you,
Or you’re a part of it
And it kills you
To see something so broken,
But it’s the only place that you know that you belong.
