War

Man craves war;

Kill or be killed.
Bloodshed,
Gruesome sacrifice,
And all because of pride;
Barbaric, animalistic pride.
And how pitiful we are,
The 'greatest' of all creation.
What a disgrace to ourselves.
The innocent die at the hands of evil,
And murderers go unpunished.
Violated people,
Live to see their abusers walk free.
When suicide is just an alternative to living,
And broken families a norm.
We're in a world on fire,
Burning from the core out
And soon we'll consume ourselves,
Because that is man;
That is our legacy.
We destroy each other,
Until there is nothing left.
